Joshua S. Clover
Born in Austin and raised in Sealy, Josh grew up the son of an attorney and English teacher. Dreading the thought of a “normal” job after college, Josh joined the Marine Corps where he served for six years before beginning law school.
After law school, Josh began his legal career as a litigation associate in a large downtown Houston law firm working primarily in commercial and construction litigation.
After a few years as a solo attorney in Houston, Josh and his family decided to return to small town life. They moved to Brenham where Josh continued handling civil litigation focusing on disputes involving real estate. At the same time, Josh began handling family law matters.
Josh has handled all phases of a civil dispute from the initial demand to a trial before a jury. Additionally, Josh handles civil disputes referred to arbitration as well as select appeals.
While advising his clients of their legal options, Josh focuses his clients on the practical aspects of their case.
Megan L. Marak
Born and raised in Fayette County, Megan made it a point to return to a small town community to begin her law practice. Megan sought the kind of one on one interaction between attorneys and clients typical of a small town practice. Given her background, it only made sense that Megan focus on family law. In 2010, Megan joined the Law Office of Joshua S. Clover where her predominant focus was family law. In 2011, Megan and Josh would come together to form what is now Clover & Marak PLLC.
Megan’s choice to concentrate on family law is particularly good for the firm’s family law clients, since Megan has a decidedly better “bedside personality” than Josh. Megan understands that clients who find themselves in a family law dispute often feel like they are on their own. Megan’s incredible patience allows her to listen to the client and counsel him or her on the best course of action to resolve their problems with the least amount of litigation.
However, don’t confuse Megan’s gentle manner with timidness. Clients should expect that Megan will give them her best advice, and explain the reasoning behind it; often whether they want to hear it or not. Moreover, in the court room, Megan displays a steely-eyed determination in advocating for her clients.
Megan’s practice spans beyond Washington County. Megan travels to Burleson, Austin, Brazos, Fayette, Colorado, and Montgomery County.
